Drummer Needs Band!

Hello fellow music lovers!

I'm looking to start a band with like minded people who want to stop talking about how cool it is to be in a band and actually make some music.
My musical tastes are very diverse; lately I've been listening to
Soft Machine
Can
Fishmans
lots of reggae (but I don't intend to make reggae)
the new Battles
King Crimson
TV on the Radio
The Pop Group
and a bunch of other stuff
I hope this gives you some sort of idea as to where I wanna go on our musical voyage of awesome.

I've only got a few months experience under my belt; but my desire to make something new and ass shaking make up for my lack of years behind the kit.

Your pitch is way more exciting than the usual "haircut band wanted" ads I see around these parts. I even signed up to this website to reply to you. How d'ya like that? My name is Joe and I'm in Tokyo probably until next February. I have an electric guitar, a theremin, a midget's keyboard, effects pedals and some basic stuff to record with. I left the UK just as a band was taking shape and I've been frustrated having no one to play with since then. I haven't put any songs up on the internet, but my loud Basque friend recorded hours of mindless jamming on a dictaphone which is on his website. You'll have to scroll down to the bottom:

loud basque friend, midget's keyboard (the combination of those two words just sound awesome) theremin, and a bunch of other stuff! it all sounds like a mind blowing brain fuck in the making!
if we're gonna do this, i think we should have good chemistry to really make it work, so answer these questions to see if our mind melds will take hold.

I just went to drunken karaoke so don't know if this is wisely. Did a real good iggy pop by the way. Especially. "no fun."

1. Tofu. I do eat meat but tofu never makes me vomit.
2. Star trek is pretty funny to me. That's good isnt it? Whatever this guy is gets my vote.

Wow, don't even remember answering those questions and I sure don't feel so Stevie Wonderful today. Never drink High balls and sake together. Any seaweed you've eaten will come back to haunt you looking exactly the same as it did when it went in.
