He is from Saitama Prefecture. He started playing alto saxophone at the age of 10.
He studied under Yasuo Akimoto from the age of 11.
While studying at Nihon University College of Art, he encountered Jackie McLean's music and awakened to
jazz. He studied under Akira Omori.

In 2004, Avex released the CD and DVD '1st Flight' for the female big band 'Blue Aeronauts Orchestra.' He has appeared on TV and jazz festivals, earning high praise.
In 2008, he was ranked for the first time in the 'Alto Saxophone Category of the Jazzmen Readers' Popularity Poll' by Swing Journal magazine.

In 2009, they released their first leader album, 'Straightaway.' He was nominated for the 2009 Jazz Disc Awards by Swing Journal magazine, the 'Japan Jazz Award.'
It also attracted attention by being ranked in jazz criticism magazines' "Jazz Audio Disc Awards - Instrumental Award" and "Jazz Melody Awards."
In 2010, he was ranked 12th in the 'Alto Saxophone Category' poll by Swing Journal magazine, marking his promotion.

In 2014, she released the CD 'Starting Point' by her female leader, the Quartet. It has received high praise in reviews from multiple jazz magazines.

He also places great emphasis on nurturing the next generation, regularly offering on-site lessons not only in the Tokyo metropolitan area but also in Yatsugatake and Fukushima. The annual saxophone training camp held in Yatsugatake is also well received, earning strong trust from students.
He regularly leads not only live shows and concerts but also jazz sessions.
He is well known not only as a performer but also as a leader.

His books include 'Let's Get Started! Jazz Alto Saxophone Vol. 1,' the series' 'Vol. 2,' 'Phrase Collection,' and 'Session Strategy Q&A for Jazz Alto Saxophone' (all published by Chuo Art Publishing).
