TENbient" was started in 2017 by Kentaro Nagata, Kentaleaux Nakajima, and Cixa (Yu Ogu joined later) at a small live house "Ten" in Asagaya, and has continued to expand its activities by traveling to various places in Japan and releasing compilation albums "TENbient" series, In July 2023, ni/s, an improvisation session band produced and participated by Kentaro Nagata, based on TENbient, released an album from the Irish experimental music label, Fort Evil Fruit, which is known for releases by Delphine Dora, Golem Mecanique, and others.

"TENbient" has booked more than 50 artists for 15 events so far, including Ayami Suzuki, Shuta Yasukochi, soma hayato, Teruyuki Kurihara (Mille Plateaux), and others.

The event will be based on ambient music, but will also include elements of drone, noise, jazz, techno, and electronica, reflecting Tokyo's broad and deep underground/experimental scene, while at the same time expressing ambient music's latent potential as experimental music. The same will be attempted on this day.

「TENbient」は2017年、kentaro nagata、kentaleaux nakajima、Cixaにより(のちにYu Oguも参加)阿佐ヶ谷の小さなライブハウス「天」でひっそりと始まり、現在も開催を継続する一方、日本各地への出張イベントや、コンピレーション・アルバム「TENbient」シリーズのリリースなど、活動の場を広げています。2023年7月には「TENbient」を母体としてkentaro nagataが参加・プロデュースした即興セッションバンドni/sの音源がDelphine Dora、Golem Mecaniqueなどのリリースで知られるアイルランドの実験音楽レーベルFort Evil Fruitからリリースされました。
今まで計15回の開催により、Ayami Suzuki,、Shuta Yasukochi,、soma hayato、Teruyuki Kurihara (Mille Plateaux) 等、計50名以上のアーティストをブッキングしています。

イベント内容はアンビエントミュージックを基軸としつつもドローン、ノイズ、ジャズ、テクノ、エレクトロニカ等の要素を飲み込みながら、東京の広く深いアンダーグラウンド/エクスペリメンタルシーンを色濃く反映する一方、アンビエントミュージックが潜在的に持っている実験音楽としての可能性を表すものになっており、今回のイベントでも同様な試みが行われます。
