Golden Robot Army is an American rock and roll band from Seattle. This 5-member group has been performing since 2007 all around the Northwest region of the US. They have made appearances at Northwest Folklife and Bumbershoot festivals, and played many different kinds of venues. They released a 5 song EP called "like lightning" in 2008, a full-length album called You Will Be Safe in 2009, and have a limited-edition untitled 5 song demo for their 2010 Japanese tour that includes 3 new songs.

The sound of GRA is eclectic, with a basis in traditional rock and roll. Catchy melodies, bouncy riffs and rich harmonies are paired with quirky lyrics about unusual topics, such as zombies, the homeless, abstract concepts, and super-heroes. They have a striking visual style, as all members of the band dress in formal wear in only the colors black, gold, and white.

Golden Robot Army is very connected to their fans; they give all their music away for free as downloads on their website.  A variety of merchandise, including belt buckles, buttons, stickers, t-shirts, patches, CDs and temporary tattoos, are available for sale.  Donations are accepted via PayPal. GRA feels that music should be shared, and so they encourage their fans to share their music and to connect with them via social media.

This year, GRA is expanding beyond America to visit Japan. To coincide with their Japanese tour, titled the Zombie Love Song Tour, they have made a Japanese-language version of their website, special Zombie Love Song Tour shirts, and tour demo CDs in a limited run. They will also be filming their trip, and intend to blog and share videos throughout their visit.
