Hisao Fukushima + Kawol SamarQandi duo improv

This evening marks the first time in 2026 that guitarist Fukushima—who masterfully crafts a unique sound across diverse genres from gypsy jazz to improvisation—and Kawol, whose music has taken on an even more raw and unpolished quality, will perform together. When these two musicians—who have each shaped music in entirely different languages using the same instrument—meet, the gentle exchange between them will surely give rise to sounds and resonances that seem to weave an endless tale from somewhere far away. The venue is MYSTIC, a unique and cozy spot just a short walk from Nakayama Station, slightly north of Yokohama. There is no cover charge; admission is by tip and drink orders.
