Smoke Benders (duo version)

The Smoke Benders (duo) with Daysuke Takaoka (tuba) and Samm Bennett (percussion and vocal) bring their rollicking two-man show to the warm and friendly (not to mention bilingual) Cafe MURIWUI.  Expect plenty of raucous and rollingly funky grooves, heavy doses of New Orleans style bump with big side orders of blues, intrepid forays into Africanesque polymetrics, and whatever other kinda trouble Samm and Daysuke feel like rustling up. It's always a spur-of-the-moment thing with the Smoke Benders, but their solid musical relationship means that it'll sound like they've rehearsed for months! WHEEE! And it's Daysuke's birthday! Blow that big horn, brother, you're another year older!

Cafe Muriwui is only about a 4 minute walk, straight down a shopping street, from Soshigaya Okura station (on the Odakyu Odawara Line).  And please note that the food at Muriwui is way good. The burgers come with an official Smoke Benders endorsement. And we don't do that lightly. Nuh-uh.
