2000年、エレクトロニクス技術を用いた自作楽器等の設計制作、それを使った即興演奏等の活動を開始。

アナログ発振器、デジタル音源、マイコン、ＭＩＤＩ、無線機器、映像信号を応用した作品を制作。

音楽家からの受託制作も行う。

He started making plans of his “self- built” instruments utilizing electronics techniques and performing improvisation with them in 2000. He produces works applying analogues oscillators, digital music, microcomputer, MIDI, wireless equipments and video signals. Also he makes works commissioned by musicians. 

ヒグチケイコ/ keiko higuchi

身体、声、呼吸のつながりを探求し、即興からジャズまで幅広くこなすボーカリスト。アメリカ・ボストンにて活動開始、'98年に帰国以来、多くのライブやダンス・演劇、作品集に参加。過去には写真や執筆を発表。現在も国内外のミュージシャンとのコラボレーションやソロでの演奏など、活動は多岐に渡る。

a vocalist who seeks the connection between body, voice and breathing and sings jazz to do free vocalization. she started out her career as a voice performer in boston, usa and after returning to japan in '98, she has been collaborating with dance, theater work aside from her on going music collaborations and her own solo work.

田中悠美子 yumiko tanaka 義太夫三味線/エレキ大正琴

東京藝術大学大学院修士課程修了音楽学専攻。四世竹本越路太夫預りとして四世野澤錦糸、鶴澤重輝、竹本駒之助に義太夫三味線・義太夫節を師事し古典を修行。1990年度芸術選奨文部大臣新人賞。2009年義太夫節保存会会員として重要無形文化財総合認定。即興音楽、現代音楽、劇場音楽、映画音楽、メディアアートなど国内外の様々なシーンで活動し、海外演奏は世界30か国。大友良英のバンド“GROUND ZERO”、ハイナー・ゲッベルスの音楽劇 『Hashirigaki』、バジル・ツイストの現代人形劇『Dogugaeshi』など。CD『Tayutauta』、『yumiko tanaka and roger turner at OTOOTO』、DVD『Yumiko Tanaka Music Performance』、『まるごと三味線の本』編著、坂本龍一『schola vol.14日本の伝統音楽』共著。2006年ACCグランティー、2008年度文化庁海外研修特別派遣。「田中悠美子リサイタル 2024～義太夫三味線の音響世界」に対しサントリー芸術財団第24回佐治敬三賞。

She completed her master's degree in musicology at Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School. As a protégé of the fourth generation Takemoto Koshiji Tayu, she studied Gidayu shamisen and Gidayu-bushi under the fourth generation Nozawa Kinshi, Tsurusawa Shigeki, and Takemoto Komanosuke, training in classical arts. She received the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award for New Artists in 1990. In 2009, she was recognized as a holder of the Important Intangible Cultural Property designation as a member of the Gidayu-bushi Preservation Society. She is active in various scenes both in Japan and abroad, including improvisational music, contemporary music, theatrical music, film music, and media art, and has performed in 30 countries around the world. Her works include Otomo Yoshihide's band "GROUND ZERO," Heiner Goebbels' musical "Hashirigaki," and Basil Twist's contemporary puppet show "Dogugaeshi." , CD work “Tayutauta," "yumiko tanaka and roger turner at OTOOTO," the DVD "Yumiko Tanaka Music Performance," and she edited "The Complete Shamisen Book." She also co-authored Ryuichi Sakamoto's "schola vol.14 Japanese Traditional Music." She received an ACC Grantee in 2006 and was selected for the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Overseas Training Program in 2008, and the 24th Keizo Saji Award from the Suntory Foundation for Arts for her "Yumiko Tanaka Recital 2024 ~ The Sound World of Gidayu Shamisen."
