Musicians & Profiles
Jiroh Nagano (sax, etc.)
A veteran saxophonist, clarinetist, and flutist, Nagano has been active in Tokyo’s jazz scene for years and also leads music workshops such as “Jirou Labo.” His website lists a long history of performances, including work with big bands and his own ensembles.
His social media often tags #subtone, #swing, and #jazz as central to his style.
Takumi Watanabe (wood bass)
Watanabe has played double bass in prior installments of this tribute concert series (e.g. “Anison & Tokusatsu vol.2”) alongside Nagano and others, demonstrating his deep familiarity with this repertoire.
