Celebrate the heroic, melodious, and nostalgic—Anime & Tokusatsu Tribute Night vol.4 returns with a quartet of Tokyo-based musicians reinterpreting theme songs and iconic scores from anime and special effects series. Expect inventive jazz arrangements, improvisational flair, and moments that make you want to stand up and shout your allegiance.

Musicians & Profiles

Jiroh Nagano (sax, etc.)
A veteran saxophonist, clarinetist, and flutist, Nagano has been active in Tokyo’s jazz scene for years and also leads music workshops such as “Jirou Labo.” His website lists a long history of performances, including work with big bands and his own ensembles. 
His social media often tags #subtone, #swing, and #jazz as central to his style. 

Takumi Watanabe (wood bass)
Watanabe has played double bass in prior installments of this tribute concert series (e.g. “Anison & Tokusatsu vol.2”) alongside Nagano and others, demonstrating his deep familiarity with this repertoire. 
His tone and groove help ground the ensemble while allowing harmonic exploration.

Tomotaka Nishimura (electric bass)
Active as an electric bassist, Nishimura often collaborates in crossover and jazz settings. He is sometimes credited on posters alongside Nagano and others in events at Toi-Own. 
His role adds rhythmic depth and modern contrast to the group.

Mayu Kikuchi (piano)
