KNOCK が立ち上げたレーベルmykesrhizaから今春リリースしたアルバム、Mist On the Window が国内外で好評の Ken Ikedaを今回はDJで招聘。

DJでの音楽表現に於いても、ライヴパフォーマンスと同じく先史時代から続く[人間と音・音楽]との関係をストイックに即興で探るスタイルの Ken Ikeda 。

DJで共演するのは近年、ジャズやアンビエント、実験音楽、フィールドレコーディングにまで触手をのばし、音楽の深渕を貪欲に探求するJun Kitamura。

この日のライヴ共演者は、ギターを底流にしたアンビエント／ミニマル・プロジェクトで瞑想的な質感と音の探求に重点を置いて活動するmonosleepと、ベースギターを用いたアンビエントで空間をセピア色に染めるYu Ogu。

アンビエントが好きな方には、”極上”となる一夜になりそうです。

Ken Ikeda, whose album Mist On the Window, released this spring on KNOCK's mykesrhiza label, has been well received both in Japan and abroad, has been invited as a DJ for this edition.

Ken Ikeda's style of musical expression as a DJ, as well as his live performances, stoically explores the relationship between humans and sound/music, which has continued since prehistoric times, through improvisation.

 The DJ collaborator is Jun Kitamura, who in recent years has extended his tentacles into jazz, ambient, experimental music and field recordings, and who is voraciously exploring the depths of music.

Live collaborators on the day were monosleep, an ambient/minimal project with a guitar bottom line and an emphasis on meditative textures and sound exploration, and Yu Ogu, whose bass guitar-based ambient tints the space sepia-toned.
