Solo, duo, and trio performances by three friends, each skilled from long experience in their chosen field. Above all, they love to collaborate and improvise, making sublime music and art from nothing, fueled by pure inspiration.
MORGAN SALON is the cosy, artistic personal studio of British keyboardist Morgan Fisher. It's just a five-minute walk from Daitabashi Station (only 2 stops by local train from Shinjuku on the Keio Line).
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS is a series hosted by Morgan, where visitors can experience live music and other events on a personal level, in an intimate setting, seeing and meeting creative artists face-to-face.
ENTRY is 4000 yen, payable at the door (cash only please).

Tohkei: calligrapher and sumi-e artist. She was given the name Tohkei by Zen Master Saishoken Adachi Jion Roshi at Engakuji temple, Kamakura. After graduating in calligraphy at Tokyo Gakugei University, she moved to Nara City. She creates small and large-scale calligraphy works and abstract ink paintings expressing life and death through the light and dark shades of charcoal-black ink. Active in the Ministry of Culture's projects for developing communication skills in children and students, Tohkei also creates votive inscriptions for shrines, as well as titles and logos for books and videos. She recently opened Gallery a_s (art_scene) and performances "Live Calligraphy" in collaboration with musicians. In 2023 she published her first, richly-illustrated book "Omoi Okuri" ("Shared Thoughts") - in-depth writings on her life and her art.

After graduation, Chie travelled to India to study yoga, which liberated her creativity and inspired her to make music the central focus of her life. She began performing as a cellist in various bands. Her composing, singing and poetry blossomed, as did her musical improvisations, deeply inspired by nature and in particular by birdsong.
In 2012, she began performing solo, and has released three albums under her own name. While continuing to study the classics, she passionately explores new forms of music, alone and in collaboration with like-minded artists.
