Robert Taira Wilson is an English artist based in Japan. A self-taught guitarist, he is inspired by artists like Leonard Cohen, Johnny Cash, and Jeff Buckley, creating a sound which incorporates folk, alternative, and classic rock. While his calm and intimate songs can soothe your soul, his lyrics speak of the complex state of mankind. Through Robert’s lens, you encounter his take on love, loss, and the beauty of life.

Robert is also a visual artist creating videos, drawings and animations, which compliment his music-making. His music video ‘Blackbird’ recently won several awards including ‘Best Animated Music Video’ in Munich, and it has been selected for several film festivals in Berlin, New York and Rome. His videos will be an important part of this very special live event.

In January 2024, Robert sang on the song ‘Arc of the Ashes’ which appears on the sound track for the acclaimed anime TV series Attack On Titan.

MORGAN SALON is the cosy, artistic personal studio of British keyboardist Morgan Fisher (Mott the Hoople, Queen, Yoko Ono, etc). It's just a five-minute walk from Daitabashi Station (only 2 stops by local train from Shinjuku on the Keio Line).

 

CLOSE ENCOUNTERS is a series hosted by Morgan, where visitors can experience live music and other events on a personal level, in an intimate setting, seeing and meeting creative artists face-to-face.

ENTRY is 4000 yen, payable at the door (cash only please).

ロバート タイラ ウィルソンは、日本を拠点とするイギリス人アーティストです。独学でギターを学んだ彼は、レナード コーエン、ジョニー キャッシュ、ジェフ バックリーなどのアーティストからインスピレーションを受けています。彼の音楽は、フォーク、オルタナティブ、クラシック ロックを融合しています。穏やかで親密な歌は心を癒してくれますが、歌詞は人類の複雑な状態を語っています。ロバートのレンズを通して、愛、喪失、人生の美しさに対する彼の見解に触れることができます。

モーガンが主催するコンサートシリーズ、「接近遭遇 - Close Encounter」は親密な空間でアーティストと対面して、パーソナルレベルを感じながら音楽などを体験できます。
