My Darling Clementine ~Sings ELVIS COSTELLO Japan Tour
My Darling Clementine (MDC) was formed in 2010 in Birmingham, England, as a duo singing a repertoire centered around country music by the husband-and-wife team of Michael Weston King and Lou Dalgleish. In 2011, their debut album "How Do You Plead?" produced by Neil Brockbank, who has worked with Nick Lowe, was released. It received rave reviews both in the UK and the USA, being hailed as a masterpiece that appeals to a new generation of music fans paying homage to country music pioneers, and was highly praised as comparable to Elvis Costello's "ALMOST BLUE."
Their follow-up album "The Reconciliation," produced by Colin Elliott, featured guest appearances from Kinky Friedman and the Brodsky Quartet, further enhancing their reputation and leading to performances in Nashville and Austin's SXSW. Over 12 years, they have released six albums and a DVD collection, performing more than 800 shows worldwide. In 2020, they released the album "Country Darkness," produced by Steve Nieve, featuring all Elvis Costello songs. This innovative approach breathed new life into Costello's work, surprising critics while expressing original emotions more deeply, earning praise from Elvis Costello fans as well. The album "Country Darkness" will be released in Japan on September 25 to commemorate their visit—it's a must-have masterpiece.
We look forward to your reservations for their concert in Japan.
