1969年に始まる日本のフリージャズ。1970年代には演奏を始めていたこのカルテットのメンバー達 が2020年代の現在も演奏を継続している。その半世紀を超える活動から、彼らはそれぞれ独自の演 奏スタイルを作り上げた。それはかつてのエネルギッシュでパワフルな方法を維持しつつ、より柔軟 に反応を示す演奏で、日本独自のユニークなフリージャズになった。そのフリージャズを支えるの は、嘗てより更に悪化した現代への怒りだ。 

Free jazz in Japan began in 1969, and the members of this quartet, who began performing in the 1970s, continue to play today in the 2020s. They have developed their own unique style on their activities over the past half century. It has become a unique and original Japanese free jazz, maintaining the energetic and powerful methods of the past, but playing with more flexibility and responsiveness. Underpinning this free jazz is an anger at a modern world that has become even worse than it was in the past.
