Friends, it's time once again to roll on outta the barn and come on down to BAR ISSHEE in Shibuya, for an evening of American roots music, courtesy of Tokyo's # 1 down-home pre-war country-blues jug-band, the GHOST STEPPERS. Early blues, Appalachian ballads, spirituals, jug band tunes and more. Banjo, guitar, harmonica, archaic drums and old time vocals await your roots-hungry soul, and all it'll cost you is a 500 yen bar charge plus one drink. After the Ghost Steppers lay some of that dirt road sound over the concrete jungle, the hat will be passed, and you can pay what you like. As little or lot as you are able to part with will go directly to the musicians. Yup, the time-honored tradition of "passing the hat" lives at the friendly and relaxed BAR ISSHEE. Who'd a thunk it?
