YOSHIMOTO Yumiko (guitar, daxphone) biography
Born in Tokyo, Japan. With a background in rock music, she began playing freeform guitar improvisation in 2006 as participating in the performance of the visual artist, Haruo Higuma. Since then performed as a soloist, with other musicians, and also with dancers, poets, films etc. in more than 15 countries worldwide.
2008, created the music of Isao Yamada's film "daydream" (8mm/20min).
2016 Jun. Europe tour including the Water Tower Art Fest (Bulgaria).
2016 Nov. Release CD album "Yoshimoto?/?Griciute?/?Mikalkenas" (Sculdubuldu) as a trio with Gail? Grici?t? (piano / Lithuania) + Arnas Mikalk?nas (drums / Lithuania)
2017 Apr. Began to play daxophone (an instrument invented by German guitarist Hans Reichel).
2019 Jul. Release CD album "bugs cry what" (jigen 020) by bugs cry what, a duo with Michio Karimata (flute, saxophone, voice, etc.)
