Musashino Juke Joint Blues Jam
The first Saturday of the month! Blues fans out there, it’s time for the Musashino Juke Joint Blues Jam! Dozens of Blues jams are held nightly in the Tokyo area, but this one is quite special in that it has continued in the broader Musashino area for more than 15 years and many of the regular members are well-experienced excellent musicians. Anyone can join and all parts are welcome, even blues dancing. Just come on over and sign up, and you will be called to get up on stage and perform! It is also fun to just watch them perform, of course.
The venue offers a good menu of Okinawan dishes and drinks, including gourd pizza, Okinawan noodles, Orion Beer and A&W Root Beer. There is always someone who can speak English, so don’t be shy. It is almost non-smoking: there is a small smoking section in the corner of the spacious room. It’s only a few minute walk from the JR Musashikoganei station (Chuo Line). From the South exit of the station, turn right toward the Ito-Yokado building, take the street to the left in front of the building, go straight until hitting a big street, turn right and the venue is on the right hand side (on the big street). It’s in the basement. See you there!
The Event Space ROSY NOTE (fka URUMA, even before that as SOLID) is a cool spacious venue with a capacity of 200 people suitable for various live shows and parties. The stage is quite big and equipped with a lot of different instruments, amps, etc. Sometimes after 22:00 when live shows are over, it can be used as a Karaoke bar. The monitor is hanging from the ceiling, so the singer can sing on stage looking at the monitor without looking down. When they do not have any live show, it is still open as a bar.
They serve some Izakaya type dishes and a variety of drinks.
Now owned by a lady named Rose, it looks a bit nicer and tidier. Ms. Rose always welcomes you! She speaks English, so don't be shy!
