Record Store Day (RSD) was conceived in 2007 at a gathering of independent record store owners and employees as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding nearly 1400 independently owned record stores in the US and thousands of similar stores internationally. This year’s edition of RSD comes on Saturday April 16th.

Record Store Day Japan has been gaining momentum recently and the limited local edition item of both vinyls and cassette tapes will go on sale on that day at record stores across Japan. 

To come together and celebrate the unique culture of an analog media, Shibuya Milkyway will hold an official RSD eve party on Friday April 15th and an official RSD festival on Saturday April 16th both supported by Club BAGSY.
