Born on August 28. Born in Tokyo.
From the age of three, she became familiar with music at the Yamaha Music School.
When she entered junior high school, she started playing tenor saxophone in the brass band club.
When she was in high school, she formed a Big Band at a concert and fell in love with jazz.
She joined the Big Band in college and began playing on the alto saxophone.
Later, she turned to modern jazz and learned jazz playing, improvisation, and theory.
Studied with jazz saxophonist Akira Omori.
Currently, she is developing live activities with her own quartet and duo unit, mainly in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
In 2008, she released an original CD "Yellow Sapphire".
In August 2015, the new album "ZOZO" was released.
The composition is written as if she were writing a diary, writing about what moved her and what she enjoyed, as if the scene came to mind.
Her works have a unique view of the world and have been highly acclaimed.
Toru Tsuduki(p)
Born in Kyoto in 1952. In '75, he began his professional career at jazz clubs in Tokyo, including Shinjuku PIT INN.
In 84, he left the leader album "Neptune". In 85, he formed "Chicken Shack" with Junji Yamagishi (g) and Hideshi Toki (sax). He has released more than 10 albums in total (Meldak). He has expanded his activities not only to jazz but also to black music in general, as well as keyboard work and studio activities. At the same time, he began recording in the United States and left numerous albums with domestic and foreign artists. In the 90s, he formed "Band of Pleasure" with David T. Walker (g), James Gadson (ds), Yamagishi and others. Released 3 albums (For Life). In 2012, Chicken Shack reunited at a two-day concert at Blue Note Tokyo, and in June '13, they released their first new album in 23 years, "ChickenShack VII." In January '16, the band of pleasure reunited for a three-day gig at Blue Note Tokyo. In addition to his own jazz trio and quartet, he continues to be active without being bound by genres, such as the Ryuichi Takase (tp) quartet, the Akira Omori (as) quartet, the Shigeharu Mukai (TB) group, the "Tsugi Brothers" with his brother Tsugi Riki (harmonica), the duo with Kyoto folk singer Yuzo Toyoda, and collaborations with Kunihiro Tsuji (g,vo) and Keisuke Ota (vln).
