Welcome to HOBO-YA the Blues pub!
It's a funky little blues pub (more of a restaurant!) with a very friendly atmosphere and a great menu of hearty and tasty dishes prepared by the mama, Sue that will never disappoint you,
The background music is always Blues of course. For Blues fans it's the happiest time to sit in the basement bar tasting delicious food with an American Southern twist and listening to the Blues--and sometimes chatting with Mama Sue, who used to be a pro blues singer.
According to her, it's a "restaurant" where people come mostly for food, so there is no regular live music, but occasionally Mama Sue books some awesome acoustic blues acts
People there are always very friendly and the prices very reasonable, so you can walk in there without any fear of .....being ripped off. The venue opens at 18:00 and closed on Mondays.
Directions:
Take the Chuo or Sobu line to JR Ogikubo, take the North Exit, turn left on the street right in front of the station (there is a Seiyu supermarket and a Koban box on the right), walk straight for a minute or so, you will see an orange shrine gate (torii) on the left side of the street. Go under it (turn left) and you can spot the BB King figure sign. Take the stairs down and the pub is right there in the basement.
