A silly comedy about life. And penguins.
What happens when you drop two characters onto a stage without a clue who they are or what they’re supposed to do? Quentin and Enos desperately hunt for what it’s all about—and just as they think they’ve got it, the penguins return and toss everything into the air again. Except, of course, that penguins can’t fly. Or can they?
Nothing is clear in this oddball comedy, where soul-searching ciphers dodge sword thrusts from star-crossed Shakespeareans, and the stage manager just wants everybody to get done with it so he can go home and fold his laundry.
An original production written and directed by Canadian theater vet Mike Kanert, No Time to Wait features a sextet of inspired actors and comedians hailing from America to Japan, with musical performances by Tokyo indie sensation Jonny Barefoot.
