Details

An experimental music DJ night dedicated to noise, avant-garde, drone, and ambient sounds.

Hosted by junne, the creator of the cultural zine NOIZ NOIZ NOIZ, this edition features a lineup of guest DJs who all hail from the legendary '90s alternative generation.

Special Guest Lineup

DJ IIJIMA

A true key figure in the scene, DJ IIJIMA used to host "Murder House," a legendary party centered around the iconic club Ebisu MILK. By radically blending Gabber/Hardcore DJs with alternative rock and hardcore punk bands, Murder House paved the way for later groundbreaking movements like "Raw Life." He remains fully active today, holding down residencies at "RETURN99" (Shibuya ORGAN BAR, every 4th Thursday of odd months) and "CLEAN" (Shibuya ZUBAR, bi-monthly), alongside numerous other gigs.

Ryo Koide

The leader and long-time guitarist of the "technical scum" band Sleeping Beauty—the very band featuring Risa Ripa, who graced the cover of NOIZ NOIZ NOIZ #6. In a way, Ryo is the key person who dragged her into this sonic underworld. He is also a deep vinyl collector with a focus on progressive rock, and recently hosts the "Prog-Rock Vinyl Night" (Progre Mochikomi Night) at Bar Chitei in Otsuka (a fantastic, welcoming event that junne highly recommends!).

? Don't Miss Out!

With a lineup of such pivotal underground figures coming together, this is bound to be an unforgettable night. See you on the dancefloor!

Details

A live house/club with a café-bar, located a 1-minute walk from Shibasaki Station on the Keio Line. It also operates as a music shop selling cassette tapes, effectors and modular synthesisers.
The name 'mod' comes from the desire to 'modify' existing cultural and arts facilities such as live houses that rely on the old system, and to create a place where artists can gather and work easily. We want to continue to be an artist-first shop.
