Stina Hellberg Agback

Stina Hellberg Agback is a harpist and composer actively involved in the Swedish and Nordic jazz scene. She regularly collaborates with other artists to explore new musical avenues and create exciting projects. Hellberg Agback's music is characterized by an open and curious approach to improvisation and a deep love for the jazz tradition.

  • SKJAZZ, Ján Hocek: "Stina Hellberg Agback is a completely unique phenomenon in the field of European jazz!"

  • Orkesterjournalen, Patrik Sandberg: "The restfull music is filled with substance and depth"

  • LIRA, Lenarrrt Olausson: "It surely is a bit rowdy and chaotic sometimes, when Alice Coltrane's 'Gospel Train' passes by on the railway and Isaksson's howling guitar passes us in our compartment, but what stays with us, is that the album 'Quiet Now' is restful, pretty chamber jazz."

  • Dalademokraten, Lennart Götesson: "Stina Hellberg Agback is not just an improvising harpist; she is an absolutely amazing one.”

  • Downbeat, Michele L. Simms-Burton: "And if there is icing on the cake, the Quartet's rendition of "My Favorite Things" satiates the desire of Agback's harp to become the focal point. She delivers the theme melodically and harmonically, demonstrating the sheer beauty and power of her instrument"

Eva Lindal

中村 としまる TOSHIMARU NAKAMURA

Toshimaru Nakamura has been producing electronic music on self-named "no-input mixing board." The name describes the method of his music. "No" external sound source is connected back to "inputs" of the "mixing board”. Nakamura’s principle is being an improviser, no-input mixing board is the best vehicle so far to realise his attitude toward music. According to the nature of the set-up, Nakamura always has to deal with unpredictability, therefore, he is willing to abandon his control over the instrument to some extent, and place himself in the realm of obedience and resignation.

He has been performing live concerts in Tokyo and elsewhere by travelling around Europe, North America, Argentina, New Zealand, Australia, Korea, China, Singapore and Malaysia since the middle of 1990's until now, for meeting, working and playing concerts with local musicians from those places and ones from different places.
