In 1977, he graduated from Komazawa Junior College, Department of English Literature. He transferred to the Department of English and American Literature, Faculty of LettersKomazawa University, and graduated. At university, he belonged to a light music club.

While in college, he studied jazz vocals with Martha Miyake[1]. When she was an office lady, she participated in the amateur Asian Music Festival qualifiers at the recommendation of Martha Miyake, and won first place to represent Japan. In 1981, he won the gold medal at the Amateur Asian Music Festival Finals held in Hong Kong, and then turned professional[2]. Studied voice training with Kimiko Ito. After that, he returned to Japan after a jam session and vocal lessons in New York.

In 2001, he released his first full-length standard jazz album, My Shining Hour, on an indie label. The album, in which she sings standards in an arrangement that makes full use of the piano trio and four trombone sections, attracted a lot of attention, and was ranked in the top 10 selling CDs for female vocals by Swing Journal magazine.

In 2003, he won the Outstanding Singing Award at the 19th Japan Jazz Vocal Awards. In April 2004, Nakano Sakagami Harmony Hall held an award commemorative concert[3].

In 2006, his album Faith, with the trio of Eric Alexander (sax) and Harold Mayburn, won a Swing Journal Gold Disc.

In 2007, he performed with David Matthews' Manhattan Jazz Quintet in Close to Bacharach. Highly acclaimed as a new Bacharach standard, the highest honor for a domestically produced vocal album, the 41st Swing Journal Jazz Disc Award Vocal Award[4].

In 2008, he released "Batucada: Jazzun Bossa" as a memorial album to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the birth of bossa nova. Duets with Marcos Valli and Michael Franks. He has performed with Phil WoodsKenny GarrettPaquito D'Rivera, and Randy Brecker (tp), who are considered to be the three greatest alto saxophone players of our time.

In 2009, he released "Sing Once More: Dear Carpenters." Both albums won the Jazz Disc Award for Vocal. For the first time in history, the company has won the award for three consecutive years.

IN FEBRUARY 2011, "MONA LISA~TRIBUTE TO NAT KING COLE~" WAS RELEASED. In addition to Nat King Cole's representative songs, newly written songs are included. Mark Whitfield (G), David Hazeltine (Pf) and others participated.

In 2012, he released Things with the Duke Ellington Orchestra. He has performed with the Duke Ellington Orchestra. In the summer, he was invited to perform at the Taipei International Jazz Festival.

In 2015, he released Mandelsini, a reconstruction of the original by Henry Mancini and Johnny Mandel.

Singer, composer, and music producer Yoshiyuki Osawa was a member of the same light music group "Komazawa Folk Village Lovers' Association" at university. In response to Hiraga's question, "Can I learn jazz somewhere?", Osawa immediately replied, "I know a jazz vocal class," and introduced Martha Miyake's class[12].

On Tuesdays and wednesday are Jazz Live performance which our fascinating artist perform amazing Jazz Music. 

This year is our 15th Aniversary and we are grateful to have our customers that has supported us all these years.
