as if, slight fever will present “kq Duo,” a two-person performance of the breathing -based piece “kq,” running Friday, November 21 to Monday, November 24 (holiday) at Studio YUNGURA, Kokubunji-city Nishimoto-cho 2−17−11 Co-op Fuji 307, Tokyo, Japan.

Nominated as a finalist for the 21st AAF Playwriting Award and presented at the 14th Sengawa Theater Competition, “kq” is a performance practice begun by SASAKI Sujin in 2019, exploring “music through breathing.” Its score combines breath-sound directions, illustrations, and an abstract story.

SASAKI Sujin, the writer and member of as if, slight fever, performer Koharu Tasaki (Seinendan), and ink-wash artist megumi shimizu bring their differing backgrounds to meet and cross through the “breath” of “kq.”
