Elmo Aoyama is a multi-disciplinary artist who explores the relationship between space, memory, and time through music, art, and industrial design. Born in Tokyo and based in Sydney, Elmo’s creative practice spans a range of mediums, including sound, sculpture, and light.

Elmo’s debut EP Spells (2020) was critically acclaimed, with Bandcamp naming it “an art-pop EP full of mystery and grandeur.” The EP garnered significant airplay on KEXP and across radio stations in Australia and the USA, and earned an FBI SMAC Award nomination. Elmo’s forthcoming album Demons (2025) builds on this foundation, expanding her sonic palette to include darker textures and improvisational soundscapes. In 2024, Elmo performed a solo show at Phoenix Central Park in Sydney, showcasing a stage design that integrated transportable and reflective metal sculptures with lighting to create an immersive, multidimensional environment.
