October 24, 2025 FUTENZOKU Solo Live!!
The band “FUTENZOKU,” currently the most talked-about act in Japan's rock ‘n’ roll scene, will hold a solo live show at Shinjuku Loft.
FUTENZOKU is a five-piece band that evokes the roots of Japan's proud rock ‘n’ roll heritage, reminiscent of groups like “Murahachibu” led by Fujio Yamaguchi, “JACKS,” “Les Rallizes Denudes,” and “Yura Yura Teikoku.”
The performance—featuring a white-faced vocalist, twin lead guitars, funk-derived bass, and drums—is pure Showa-era Japanese underground rock.
Their live performances transcend the conventional notion of “live”—they are rock ‘n’ roll theater.
They are also recommended for fans of Japanese underground theater and culture, such as Shuji Terayama, Simon Yotsuya, and Maki Asakawa.

Take the main East exit (for Kabukicho) of JR Shinjuku station. Go left down Chuo Dori which is just on the left of Alta. Keep walking straight, cross the big crossing and into Kabukicho, keep going straight until you reach a T-Intersection with Toho Cinemas in front of you. Turn right, then immediately left, and when you get to the intersection look for the sign for Loft in the white Tatehana building on the right corner with lots of host bars. It's in the basement.
