Feeling the heat yet? So are we. That’s why we’re turning it up again, with rebel yells, guitar solos, and a crowd of humans who still believe in music, freedom, and a future worth fighting for.

Too Hot to Be Cool is back for its 5th edition, in what may be the hottest summer on record. While AI threatens creativity, and corporate greed keeps delaying climate action, we are fighting back, at our scale, because every effort matters.

Come enjoy real live music performed by real artists, all in support of young climate activists fighting for our future.

The Lineup: 100% Rock, 100% Human

Main Acts:

  • Black Leech (Funk / Pop Punk): Formed in 2017 by high school classmates, Black Leech is now a three-piece from Yokohama. From underground gigs to playing Summer Sonic and Tokyo Calling, they deliver a bold rock sound shaped by raw youth and tight musicianship.

  • FUQA (Garage Rock): A two-piece band from Japan with a sound and power that go way beyond their numbers. FUQA brings a unique world of garage rock that hits hard and keeps you hooked.

  • YUMI (Classic Rock): A passionate group of musicians blending rock and blues with heartfelt energy and original flair. Their performances are about connection, emotion, and creating unforgettable, crazy experiences.

  • Vampire Bats (Garage Punkabilly): A 3-piece all-female garage punkabilly band drawing from 50s–60s rock’n’roll, infused with rockabilly and psychobilly vibes. Pure instinct, pure fun.

  • The French Toast (French Rock): Covering classic French rock from the '60s to the 2000s, with electric guitars, synthesizer, baguette, and pastis.

Solo Artists:

  • Yass Body (Folk Rock): Raw funk, blues, and folk textures blended with DIY spirit and groove-heavy soul. From France.

  • Moanzy (Emo Rock): A Dutch artist inspired by Juice WRLD, Nirvana, and YUNGBLUD. His music dives into heartbreak, self-doubt, and the messy parts of growing up.

And returning by popular demand:

  • VJ Copper Cross – Visual storytelling with analog flair

  • MCs Kaomi & Lisa – Our beloved bilingual hosts

  • Salo Kitchen – Serving up fresh, homemade vegan Filipino food

This Time, We Support Klima Action Malaysia

Every ticket funds climate action on the ground in Peninsular Malaysia. Klima Action Malaysia is a grassroots group fighting for energy justice, Indigenous rights, gender equality, and corporate accountability, all through a climate lens.

They make climate info accessible, back youth and frontline voices, and build real alternatives from the ground up. They're out there doing the work. We’re turning up the volume to back them. 100% of the ticket proceeds are donated, all our performers and staff are volunteers.
