Meet the Artists

Mitsuru Nishihara (Vocal)
A warmly expressive vocalist, Mitsuru has garnered praise within Tokyo’s jazz community. During the “Hino Terumasa 3Days” jazz residency, critics highlighted her performance of "Ichigo to Bara no Hibi," noting, “Nishihara’s vocal on ‘Sake to Bara no Hibi’ was excellent”. Her voice shines with emotional clarity and poetic depth—perfect for evenings of evocative song.

Satoru Nishihara (Piano)
Born in Hyogo Prefecture, Satoru began his musical journey in Osaka bands as a teenager, before moving to Tokyo at twenty. From 1999 until March 2023, he served as pianist and arranger for NHK’s “Nodojiman” singing competition, appearing biweekly. His innovative yet emotionally resonant arrangements are well regarded in live jazz circles; he also contributes arranging and piano work for ensembles like the Hoshina Yuki Trio.

Hibiki Aratani (Trumpet)
A vibrant trumpeter whose lyrical playing weaves bright tones and soulful lines through the ensemble. Her melodic voice blends seamlessly with the piano and vocals, elevating every passage with expressive warmth.
