About Yoshiaki Shigehisa:

Born in Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Yoshiaki Shigehisa is a seasoned pianist, arranger, and composer with a career spanning several decades. He studied jazz piano and arrangement under Masahiko Satoh at Ann Music School and began his professional journey as a jazz pianist around 1975. Transitioning into the pop scene, Shigehisa has worked as a keyboardist, arranger, and producer, contributing to numerous recordings, live performances, and commercial music productions.

His collaborations include a diverse array of artists such as Yōko Minamino, Seishirō Kusunose, Kazumasa Oda, and Hideki Saijō. In 2001, he released his solo album "Night Music," showcasing a blend of pop sensibilities with jazz influences. More recently, in 2021, he partnered with vocalist Tomoko Nozawa to release "MITAKA SKY," further highlighting his versatility and depth as a musician. Shigehisa's extensive experience and adaptive style make him a sought-after collaborator and a cherished figure in Japan's music scene.
