-------
Minyen Hsieh, a graduate of the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles, is one of Taiwan's leading saxophonists of the new generation.
Minyen Hsieh has been in close contact with the Tokyo jazz scene for the past 12 years, playing and recording with musicians such as Hiroshi Yamazaki, Yoshizaburo Toyozumi, Eiichi Hayashi, Otomo Yoshihide, Motohiko Ichino and Sugadairo, and has recorded and performed with musicians of different generations, both old and new.
The recipient of numerous awards, he is an exceptional talent who sincerely expresses various musical styles, including jazz, free jazz, improvisation, pop, contemporary music, hip-hop, alternative rock, folk, ethnic music and ambient.
Risa Takeda's improvisations, original compositions with visual images and piano covers of Frank Zappa have been well received worldwide.
She has composed, arranged, performed and recorded the album herself, and her complex melodies and harmonies, full of rhythm and timbre, have been well received by audiences as they are freely realised in a precise ensemble.
She has performed live with Akira Sakata, Tatsuya Yoshida, Seiichi Yamamoto, Tadahiko Yokogawa, Keiichi Suzuki, Mani Neumeier, Tatsuya Nakamura and others.
Yuma Takeshita is an experimental/improvised music player and organiser.
After 2011, he started building his instruments by modifying an electronic bass guitar with various sound modules and machines. This time he plays mechanised instruments.
We are pleased to welcome JAM (Underground City Agartha) from our regular event ‘Underground City Agartha’ as the DJ.
The main speaker for the music in the Bar CHITEI, a B&W Nautilus 802D, has been put to bed for a while, and a new B&W Matrix 800 has been installed.
Total length 191cm
4woofers/4midrange/2tweeters
The appearance is like a gateway to an even more subterranean world.
The door to the second chapter of the subterranean world is open.
Stereophile (USA) Review.
The Matrix 800 offers a listening experience that rivals live music, with an uncanny ability to detect even the most minute imperfections inherent in sound sources and electronic equipment. Sure, there are more expensive speakers that produce more spectacular acoustic spectacles, but there is no magic combination of musical integrity and ultimate transparency like the Matrix 800.
It will be an agonisingly essential, dopamine-fuelled evening, so don't miss out!
