TOMOMI FUKUI(p)

Born in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
While studying at Kanagawa University, she was active as an Electone player.
she switched to piano in 1988.
Aspiring to jazz, she studied under Hideo Ichikawa, one of Japan's leading pianists.
she has been listed as a budding pianist in live houses in the suburbs of Tokyo as a sideman and in her own unit.
Currently, she is actively performing at Japan's national tour Japan Duo with Mari Nakamoto, one of 's leading vocalists, and jazz festivals in various fields.
In addition to her activities as a pianist, she is also active in studio management, vocal production, radio personality, and book writing.

she has appeared in NHK-FM East Japan Earthquake Charity Concert for five years, and in May 2016, she supported Fukushima NHK with a charity solo concert live broadcast.
In May of the same year, she energetically held a charity concert for the Kumamoto Earthquake and worked vigorously to raise money and support the city.
In 2016, as a JAZZ pianist living in Minato Ward, she began coaching big bands at elementary and junior high schools in Minato Ward, and received the "Jazz Japan Award 2016" in recognition of her achievements in promoting the revitalization of the local community through her activities.
