Berlin-based pianist Aki Takase, a recipient of numerous awards including the German Jazz Prize, returns to Japan with saxophonist Daniel Erdmann, her frequent collaborator in recent years through their duo performances and the project "JAPANIC." This year, Takase released Ellington! (Enja) as a duo with Erdmann, and FORTE (BMC) with JAPANIC, the latter of which was nominated for the German Jazz Critics Award and highly praised across Europe. On this occasion, Takase and Erdmann will perform as a duo, with renowned musician/composer/imporoviser Otomo Yoshihide joining as a guest for an improvisational performance, marking their first collaboration.
