String player and composer.
She mainly performs live performances combining her five-string viola with effectors and programming to create an effective fusion of sounds. She has released a conceptual series of works 'Cells#2' and 'Cells#5' (Important Records), in which she forms a string orchestra using her own unique method. Recently released the collaborative albums 'Rinka' (Superpang) with Giovanni di Domenico and 'Water Ladder' (Alien Transistor) with Midori Hirano. He has also participated in works and live performances by Yuta Orisaka, Jim O'Rourke, Akira Sakata, Goko Fujii, Tetsuji Akiyama, Kid Fresino and Mocky, and played Atsuko Hatano strings on the soundtrack to the NHK drama series 'Tora ni Tsubasa'. The latest work by the Hatano-sponsored string project TRIOLA, 'Scapegoat', was released on Constructive (UK) in October 2023.
