Toshiyuki Shibata, artistic director of Musica Antiqua Takamatsu and flauto-traverso player active mainly in Europe, and
Anthony Romaniuk, a genre-free keyboardist who has attracted attention as a jury member of the Bruges International Early Music Competition 2024 and a collaborator of Vn player Patricia Kopatchinskaja, will give a duo recital at Mitaka City Arts Center on May 2 (Thu).
The duo, which drew much attention as the final performance of the 2022 Tokyo Spring Music Festival, will perform again in Tokyo with updated content.
The duo, whose activities are based on ancient music, will perform a wide range of music from Dowland and J.S. Bach to Chick Corea and Philip Glass, spanning more than 400 years and musical styles, with improvisation and no boundaries or gaps between pieces.
The performance will share the old but new, seamless (no boundaries) diversity through music.
Join us on a journey through time and space that spans over 500 years with the three keyboard instruments lined up on stage!
