CBGB, which opened in 1973, was the birthplace of the American PUNK/NEW WAVE scene, where the Ramones, Television, Patti Smith, Talking Heads, and others emerged. Many famous artists, including overseas groups, performed here until it closed in 2006.

Kawasaki Residents, who are collectors of PLASMATICS, will also be playing an acetate version of their first album (different mix, different songs), of which only two copies are known to exist in the world.
