The trio was formed by Yosuke Inoue, a jazz bassist who is considered one of Japan's best, when he released his album "New Stories" in 2019. He has developed his sound with Kazuhiro Takemoto (p) and Shogo Hamada (ds), young talented players from the Kunitachi College of Music, where he teaches, and their sound, which mixes the royal road of jazz with innovation, always wins the hearts of the audience. The trio continues to challenge themselves by performing only the members' original music at their live shows at Pit Inn, and each time they attract audiences with their creative performances.
Since the trio's formation, they have toured live venues across the country and have established a strong reputation. In 2021, they continued their activities despite the Covid pandemic, releasing the album "Next Step". Haruki Murakami also contributed a text to the liner notes.
In 2024, they released a much-awaited album "One Step Beyond" which was recorded live. This is his first live album as a leader.
This is the strongest album that condenses inexhaustible interplay and a fun atmosphere that makes the audience smile! With the cheers of the audience during the live recording, Yosuke Inoue Trio goes one step further = ONE STEP BEYOND
