Haruhiko Okabe, Asger Thomsen, Jumpei Otsuka, Yumiko Kiyota

Asger Thomsen (contrabass/ Denmark) & Haruhiko Okabe (t.sax, hichiriki/ Japan) will do duo Japan Tour 2020, the title is 「白夜の街より」”from the city under the midnight sun”.

We met at first in Berlin in 2018, and then we played together at CopenhagenJazzFestival in 2019, now we are going to play for Japanese music lovers in 2020!

From 22nd/ February to 11th/ March, we will perform in Tokyo area 11 gigs, in West Japan 6 gigs! Including trio with great Akira Sakata (as), "Gagaku improvisaton", and many other exciting projects with wonderful leading Japanese improvisers! 

In this performance, improvisations are performed using wind instruments that are usually played in Japanese traditional music, Gagaku.
