マルチプレイヤー、ライターまたプロデューサーであるPastelはこの一年をライブパフォーマンスのために時間を費やしてきました。FKJのためにオープンしたことのある、彼の東京での初パフォーマンスをneo-soulのピアノ、ファンクギターやジャズに影響されたR&Bのビート逃さないでください。

Pastelと訪れるのは、 Røseです。彼は同じフランスのプロデューサーまたDJであるMrSuicideSheep、TheSoundYouNeedまたMajestic Casualにサポートされながらエネルギッシュで夏を思わされるアップビートなピアノで堪能してくれます。

[Pastel]

Pastelはロンドン出身の２５歳の独学のマルチプレイヤー、ソングライターまたプロデューサーです。彼の最初の音楽との交流は１０歳の時でした。その少し後に彼はキーボード、ギターやベースをおじいちゃんのテープリコーダーで録音ししながらボーカル、歌詞やサンプルをできる限る組み合わせていました。時間と練習の積み重ねで彼はスタジオに入り、demoのレコーディングをし、Reasonを使って曲を書きレコーディングし、ミキシング、マスタリングしオーディオエンジニアの世界に入り込んでいきました。

「 イギリスの音楽文化は自分に大きな影響を与えました。ロンドンに６年間住んでいたけど、文化的にも音楽的にも活発なロンドンを探求する大きな決意を決めました。」

その決意は大きなものでした。ここ３年の中で彼は２度もアジアでツアーをし、FKJのサポートをしたり、Camila Cabello、Bazzi、Otzeki、Jarreau Vandalなどをリミックスし、世界中の歌手やラッパーなどともコラボしています。ヨーロッパでのバーやフェスで活躍する中TheSoundYouNeedとDélicieuse Musiqueのリリースで彼はMajestic Casual、Aviencloud、BBC Radio 1Xtra、EARMILKとAcid Staggからサポートを受け、PastelはこれからくるEPの準備としてライブで自分のスキルを発揮しています。

[Røse]

フランスにあるリヨンから来たプロデューサーのRøseはUKから影響されたベースラインや９０年代のハイペースなピアノコードとシンセを完璧にブレンドさせたものです。彼の活動はMrSuicideSheep、Majestic Casual & TheSoundYouNeedなどの影響力のある音楽会社から支持を受けています。彼のデビューシングルの ‘Craving’は世界的な地下ヒットでした。４百万再生のヒットがあり、H＆M、ZARAやAmerican Eagleの店舗でプレイリストに乗るくらいでした。

彼はLost Frequencies、Gabriela Richardson、POOLCLVBとRachel K Collierなどのためにリミックスをし、記述されているブランドから支持を受けているが、それ以上にTiesto、Kungs、Ofenbachなどの世界的有名なDJのプレイリストに入っています。またOliver Heldenは彼のことを「あなたを動かす薔薇」とラジオで言っていました。

RøseはSony、PIAS、Armada & Sweat it Out!などのメジャーレーベルを通して音楽もだし、アップビートなハウスサウンドで世界中のダンスシーンを魅了し、またそのジャンルのビッグネームのKartell、Michael Calfan、Blonde、Karma Kid、Motez、Busy P、Ben Pearceなどの隣で共演しています。

２０１８年の末期にGabriela Richardsonの曲をリミックスし２０１９年ではRøseの新シングルの後にデビューEPがリリースされます。

2010年ロンドンから帰国後、東京に活動拠点を移す。
様々な外国人アンダーグラウンドアーティストを都内主要クラブに招集し自身主催のイベントとして成功させる。
世界で活躍しているトップDJ達との親交が深く、自身のDJSetでは世の中に出回っていないアンリリースのトラックを駆使したプレイスタイルによりオーディエンスに新しい感性を与える。
楽曲制作においては、JEANASIS、VlliVlli、d'zzit、G-STAR RAWなどの様々なファッションブランドへの楽曲提供を行う一方で、イギリスの音楽レーベル(Join Our Club)からの自身のEPの発売、国内音楽レーベルからリリースを行っている。
その他、アパレルブランド"The Dayz tokyo"のMusic Producterとしての経歴も記憶に新しい。

2017年より、Disco/Houseを軸とした音楽イベント ”Othertheque”を始動。
渋谷現Oathを拠点に不定期開催を続ける中、今年にContactで行われたBoys Noize来日でのサポートを行った。
現在では、”日本からの海外へ”をコンセプトにOTHERTHEQue!名義での映像配信に力を入れている。

2018年6月、音楽制作会社”99.9%”(ナインティナインポイントナインパーセント)を設立。

[Pastel]

Pastel is a 25 year-old self-taught multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer from London.

His introduction to music came at just 10 years old in the shape of early drag & drop interface eJay. Shortly followed by his first keyboard, guitar and bass, which he learnt to record on an old tape machine of his grandfather’s, adding in vocals, lyrics, samples, and pretty much anything he could come up with to his earliest creations. With time, practice, and summers locked indoors playing guitar, he began booking studio sessions to record his own demos while delving into the world of audio engineering, working with Reason to write, record, mix and master his own songs.

Pastel has grown into a full-fledged songwriter, composer, musician who is as influenced by neo-soul and jazz as he is by R&B and house - originally hailing from France, Pastel’s earlier days also saw him DJ notorious warehouse raves in the UK’s capital.

“British music culture has always influenced me greatly, and I felt that it would be a big leap forwards for me to explore so musically and culturally vibrant a city as London, which has been my home for six years now.”

And what a leap it’s been - the past three years have seen Pastel tour Asia twice, play support for FKJ, and remix Camila Cabello, Bazzi, Otzeki and Jarreau Vandal, also collaborating with rappers and vocalists from around the world. After a string of performances in clubs and festivals around Europe, releases with TheSoundYouNeed, Délicieuse Musique and support from the likes of Majestic Casual, Aviencloud, BBC Radio 1Xtra, EARMILK and Acid Stagg, Pastel is now showcases his skills as a musician in as he tours his live show, in preparation for the EP to come…

Hailing from the French city of Lyon, Røse’s production style is his own perfectly balanced blend of UK house basslines, 90’s high-paced lead piano chords and future house synths. His works have been supported by some of the most influential music brands like MrSuicideSheep, Majestic Casual & TheSoundYouNeed. His debut single ‘Craving’ was something of a global underground hit, clocking over 4M streams while also being playlisted in H&M, Zara and American Eagle stores around the world.

His subsequent remix work for the likes of Lost Frequencies, Gabriela Richardson, POOLCLVB and Rachel K Collier was also supported by aforesaid music brands but more importantly playlisted by international DJs like Tiesto, Kungs, Ofenbach and more, with Oliver Helden’s quoting him as “the rose that makes you move” on his radio show.

Røse has released music with major labels and indies like Sony, PIAS, Armada & Sweat it Out!, hitting the international dance scene from all angles with his upbeat house sounds and appearances alongside some of the genre’s biggest names including Kartell, Michael Calfan, Blonde, Karma Kid, Motez, Busy P, Ben Pearce and many more.

After remixing Gabriela Richardson in late 2018, 2019 will see Røse release a brand new single followed by his debut EP.
