Hello friends, Samm Bennett here, extending a warm invitation to YOU to come out and hear that good ol' New Orleans Mardi Gras sound. If you like Dr John, Professor Longhair, the Meters, Huey "Piano" Smith and all that good stuff, well, you'll love us, cause that's what we do. King Cake Baby brings New Orleans to Tokyo! And we're very psyched to be playing, for the second time, a very cool and funky venue in wonderful, eccentric Asakusa, called Cuzn Homeground. Last time we made some joyful noise there the atmosphere was just fun and lively as all get out! A great mix of foreigners (many just passing through town, backpackers and such, staying at the nearby hostels) and Asakusa locals. And joining piano wizard Matt Gillan and I, putting the fat bottom into the Mardi Gras vibe, will be the great Jeff Curry on bass for this one. Jeff really tears it up!
Don'tcha miss it, now.

Cuzn Homeground, located on a pedestrian shopping street (shotengai) in the Asakusa area of Tokyo, is a relatively spacious bar and restaurant that occasionally features live music as well as DJ nights. Guinness and Heartland are on tap at the fully stocked bar, food is available, and the atmosphere is friendly and lively, with a mix of Asakusa locals and foreign visitors from some of the nearby hostels often passing through. Staff is mostly English-speaking.
