Yoke & Yohs is a powerful duo from Denmark who plays fast, loud and furious free-jazzmetal, invoking the sounds of Lightning Bolt and Albert Ayler. Active for a few years, Yoke & Yohs have played a lot of concerts throughout Europe, including the Roskilde Festival, Kraak Festival, New Perspectives and many jazz-, punk/metal- and avant garde/experimental-venues.
Members have performed with musicians like Otomo Yoshihide, Yasuhiro Yoshigaki and Jon Mueller and opened for MoHa!, Ken Vandermark, Monno and many others. Yoke & Yohs played twice as a trio with Kazuhisa Uchihashi in August in Denmark.
In 2007 Yoke & Yohs released the 7" Satan's Choice, followed up in 2008 by the full length album The Myth Of The Totem. Both releases are out on progressive Danish label yoyooyoy.
Take the Showa Dori Exit of JR Akihabara station and go straight ahead, cross the big road, passing under the overpass, and then head right. When you get to the Metro exit, just before Kanda river, turn left. You will find Club Goodman on the right in the basement of a musical instrument shop.
