The pleasure of improvisation lies in the moment of intuition both in the visual and auditory sense. Please enjoy the delicate expression of a single note of music and of one simple piece of calligraphy flowing within the abundant time and space of the country house belonging to Jiro and Masako Sirasu.
During “Instinct Moments” we focus on kunyomi. From the pronunciation “sound” of kunyomi many meanings can be interpreted. The meaning depends on how it is used in the sentence or what kind of situation it is used in. There is a very subtle difference in the pronunciation when it is used for different meanings. We see that there is a connection between this fact and the idea of modern improvisation techniques in music. Also we focus on how the original Kanji was invented, which is also connected to the techniques of calligraphy.
In “Instinct Moments” we see a unity between the visible world of calligraphy and the non-visible world of music connected through the key of improvisation.
