Rachel Shearer(レイチェル・シェーラー)ニュージーランド・オークランド在住のサウンドアーティスト・サウンドデザインナとして活動中。以前はLovely Midgetという名でニュージーランドアンダグラウンドレーベルXpresswayとCorpus Hermeticumにてアルバムをリリース。更にアメリカのEcstatic PeaceとFamily VineyardレーベルにてLPをリリース。現在はサウンドを媒体として作品を作り、動画像とコンテンポラリー・ダンスイベントのサウンドデザインを行っている。作品の"Erewhon"はニュージーランド2014年の動画アワードで動画音楽賞カテゴリで推薦された。また複数のパブリックアートの中、オークランド港で展示された作品“The Flooded Mirror”は永久のインスタレーションアートになっている。

Rachel Shearer is a sound artist/sound designer based in Auckland, New Zealand. Earlier history  saw Rachel releasing music on NZ labels Xpressway and Corpus Hermeticum and US labels Ecstatic Peace and Family Vineyard under the moniker ‘Lovely Midget’. Rachel currently investigates sound as a medium through a range of sonic practices as well as collaborating as a sound designer/composer for moving image and live performance events. She has received numerous public commissions for sound art including the permanent installation “The Flooded Mirror” on the Auckland waterfront in New Zealand and was nominated for ‘Best Score’ for the film ‘Erewhon’ at the NZ Film Awards 2014.
