パールアレキサンダー (Pearl Alexander) + 蜂谷真紀 (Maki Hachiya)

ミシガン大学でダイアナ・ガネット氏に師事。現代クラシック音楽の収録に２回参加。その一つ、ウィリアム・ボルコム作曲による「Songs of Innocence and Experience」（レナード・スラットキン指揮）は、２００６年にグラミー賞を受賞した。２００６年８月の来日以来、新潟県における即興活動経て、２００９年より上京。坂田明、七尾旅人、ROVO、齋藤徹、中村としまる、カール・ストーン、坂本弘道、八木美知依、勝井祐二、巻上公一、Jean Sasportes、岩下徹、工藤丈輝、「ソケリッサ」、熊谷和徳、などと様々なジャンルの音楽家やダンサーと共演を行う。齋藤徹のＧＥＮ３１１ベースのアンサンブルに参加し、Kadima CollectiveにリリースされるＤＶＤに参加。２０１３年７月スイス、モントルー・ジャズ・フェスティバル「Seigen Ono Plus」のゲストミュージシャンとして参加。

Pearl Alexander is a graduate of University of Michigan where she studied double bass performance under Dr. Diana Gannett. Since moving to Tokyo in 2009, she has performed as an improvisor with musicians of many genres, including Akira Sakata, Nanao Tabito, ROVO (Seiichi Yamamoto), Tetsu Saitoh, Toshimaru Nakamura, Carl Stone, Hiromichi Sakamoto, Michiyo Yagi, Yuji Katsui, Koichi Makigami, Jean Sasportes, Tohru Iwashita, Taketeru Kudo, "Sokerissa", and Kazunori Kumagaya, among others.  As a member of Tetsu Saitoh's  Bass ensemble GEN311　she performed for a DVD released by Kadima Collective. She played on two modern music recordings while a member of USO at the University of Michigan. One of those recordings, Songs of Innocence and Experience conducted by Leonard Slatkin, won 3 Grammy Awards in 2006. In July of 2013, she performed at Montreaux Jazz Festival as a guest member of "Seigen Ono Plus".
