A New Year Concert featuring Ayuo (Open-tuning Guitar, Vocals), TOMO (Hurdy-Gurdy) and Masaaki Aoyama (Shakuhachi). Strongly recommend to people who are lovers of traditional world music, Japanese traditional music, psychedelic folk, traditional, and medieval music. It encompasses all these influences while retaining its traditional background. Both traditional music and originals will be performed.

本物の60年代のアメリカのロック、サイケデリック文化の中で培われたAYUOさんの音楽と、ヨーロッパの古楽器ハーディーガーディのTOMOさん、そしてカーサモーツァルトで地無し尺八【法竹】を竹から自分で作って演奏する方法を教えている青山雅明さんをゲストに新年会コンサートです。
2019年ではAyuo & TOMOは関西と北陸のツアーを行い、横尾忠則現代美術館や金沢ジャズ・ストリートなどで演奏して来ました。最高に面白いと思うので、是非いらして下さい～！

Ayuo：Vocals, Guitar, Open-Tuning Guitar, Violin, Bouzouki ニューヨークで育ち、60 年代後半のアメリカのサイケデリック文化、音楽、文学、アートに影響を受ける。18 枚のソロ・アルバムをJVC ビクター、エピック・ソニー、ミディ、Tzadikなどの日米のレーベルで発表。自分の思想を言葉や詩にして、台本を書き、 それを歌、朗読、楽器演奏と動きで演奏するパフォーマー。2018年の9月に初の著書「アウトサイド・ソサエティ」が発刊されました。2019年新作CD「アウトサイド・ソサエティ」がレコーディングされ、発売されました。イラストレーターでもあり、2019年9月に絵本が発売されました。
Ayuo has recorded over 15 solo albums for labels such as Midi, Epic-Sony, JVC Victor, Polygram, and others, in which he recorded with many internationally famous popular musicians such as Peter Hammill, John Zorn, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Carlos Alomar, David Lord, Danny Thompson, and members of Steeleye Span and Fairport Convention.
His more recent music tries to show the ancient musical link on the Silkroad from Europe through the Balkans to Persia, India, Central Asia, China, Korea, and Japan by exploring the possibilities of using ancient and traditional music to create new music.
In the 21st Century, he has released 3 CDs for John Zorn’s Tzadik label, which are available internationally. They are “Izutsu”, “Red Moon” and “Aoi." His autobiography was published in 2018.

TOMO：Hurdy Gurdy, Open-Tuning Guitar ハーディーガーディー奏者。トラッド/古楽などの影響を軸に、ギターをはじめ民族楽器など様々な 楽器を演奏するなか、古楽器「ハーディーガーディー」に関心を持つようになる。 ハーディーガーディーの可能性と独自の奏法を探求しながら、作品の制作・演奏活動を行っている。
Hurdy-gurdy player and multi-instrumentalist. Since he attempted to play the guitar with numbers of open tuning in his early years, his interest in folk tradition and tuning systems spread to other stringed instruments including his main instrument, hurdy-gurdy. In respect for the tradition, he explores the alternative style of the hurdy-gurdy and creates his original compositions for the instrument.

青山雅明(Masaaki Aoyama)：喉歌・ホーメイ歌手、倍音楽家、虚無僧尺八奏者（法竹）元倍音Sメンバー。2002年より奥田敦也先生に法竹を師事。2008年東家孝太郎とカムヒビKING結成。日本の言葉と喉歌を中心とした弾き語りや、竹の節を抜いただけの自然音豊かな虚無僧尺八の吹禅を中心に活動中。
Khoomei singer, performer of overtone music, Komuso (Hochiku) Shakuhachi player. His group, Baions won Second Prize at Khoomei Contest in Tuva. He started studying Hotake Shakuhachi with Akira Okuda. He also performs as a singer-songwriter, singing Khoomei songs in Japanese and performing the Jinashi Shakuhachi. He also handcrafts his own Shakuhachi instruments.
